Keep Calm & Blog
So you might have noticed the whole "Keep Calm" poster phenomenon that's been circling for a few years now...possibly longer but that's when it appeared on my radar so to speak. I never really knew where it came from. I knew it had something to do with the war, and I bought a printable parody calendar for friends one year as a Christmas pressie but that was about as far as I went. Then a friend sent me a link to this clip about the actual story behind it and I fell in love with it all over again...
Now, I also have this stuck to my workstation (due to my obsession with winter boots), but I'm yet to get a poster of the original saying. Note to self: no longer have to pretend it's cold.
The parodies are endless...Pinterest and Google Images will leave you scrolling for hours. Here are the first four that grabbed my attention tonight:
You can create your own at the Keep Calm-O-Matic website...no need to get actual prints if you dont want...just save the image and set it as your iPhone wallpaper. Obviously I've had a play :)
Has anyone seen the actual posters available locally? If so, post a comment here or on Facebook and let us know. Otherwise, Lark in Daylesford stocks them.
