Hello Summer...hopefully to be filled with plenty of Tiramisu gelato, mountain biking at dusk & chilling out with some good books over the Christmas break. Speaking of reading, the Bendigo Magazine is out!

I've written about three of my favourite local places to pick up some indie/handmade gifts for Christmas...Bob Boutique, View Point Handmade Gallery & The Square Handmade Market.  If you're local, make sure you buy a copy, there's heaps to read....otherwise you can find my article here.

If you've found my blog via the magazine, I will be posting the full interviews from View Point Handmade Gallery & The Square Market this week so be sure to come back and read all about the creative people behind these amazing places.

The easiest way to follow my blog is to like my page on Facebook, follow me on Twitter, or subscribe via email / RSS / or BlogLovin' ... or even just a good old fashioned bookmark will do :)

Read on for some magazine sneak peeks...

I'm loving finding out about the Bizness Babes group (p.179), the amazing fashion photography from Bendigo's historic property `Lansellstowe' (p.143), the appearance of Sibella Court's beautiful book 'Bowerbird' in the Christmas gift ideas feature (p.119)...

Always up for a new foodie destination to explore, the photos/article for The Castlemaine Public Inn (p.99) are definitely going to entice me on a road trip in the near future. Always have 100% respect and admiration for CFA volunteers (p.48)...and then there's my contribution `Wishing You a Very Indie Christmas' on page 41.

Interview with Jess from View Point Handmade Gallery, interview with Jodie & Belinda from The Square Handmade Market...and I'm obsessed with Christmas in general so some of my favourite local and online Christmas ornament finds.  I'm going to make some pumpkin, walnut & choc chip waffles for a weekend brunch, and the Dessert Divas went to Mason's recently so I have some yummy photos from that too!  If you're new and want to see what I've been writing about this year, check out my archives...thanks for visiting! :)

In the magazine Q&A they asked what my favourite photo was. This is the full size version of the photo I mentioned...my husband's grandfather in the 1940's as a Carlton footballer.  I love the old school style of all the players dressed up …
